"Hot" Collegium

Today in Tsurupinsk Forestry SE "Tsyurupinsk SFHE" near Nechaevo the retreat Collegium meeting of the Regional State Administration and conducting of tactical and special training for organizations for fighting of large-scale forest fires in Kherson region were held.

The event was attended: management structure and strength of Ministry of Emergency Situations in Kherson region, specialized civil protection services of the region, special purpose units, Regional Forestry and Hunting Department, government leaders of district and regional levels, representatives of mass media.

The agenda of the Collegium consisted of one question: about the work of the executive, management and civil defense forces of reaction during the fire season in 2011 and the main objectives to prevent fires in natural ecosystems in 2012.

It was announced impressive data. For example, last year, 636 fires occurred, took place 151 exit of pyrotechnics, who disposed more than 900 explosive items. And this year will increase the number of rescuers and rescue patrols. If such patrols last year totaled only 90 people in the region, this year, rescuers should be 240 or more.

Last year, the region emerged in ecosystems 636 fires in the area of 1818 ha. Compared with 2010, the number of forest fires increased by 2 times, the area of fires increased by 15 times. Experts say that more than 90 percent of forest fires are caused by population.

In order to ensure the financial activities related to the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations of technogenic and natural character in the region, in 2012 is formed a reserve fund amounting to 6,848.0 thousand hryvnas. The largest reserve funds of local budgets for this year was formed in Skadovsk, Belozerka, Tsurupinsk, Hola Prystan districts. However, despite the measures taken, it is necessary to strengthen the preparation for the fire period.

Collegium participants saw educational simulation of environment and forest fires, could see the level of the rescuers, equipment capabilities and feel the seriousness of the fire, to understand its threat.

Head of Regional State Administration noted the high preparedness of the MES departments, but reiterated the need to work on prevention and prevent fires.

For the effective cooperation with the MES in Kherson region and support of the state program of fire protection, Kherson Regional State Administration chairman Mykola Kostyak presented an award from Kherson diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Territorial Administration Ministry for Emergencies in Kherson region to: Vadim Andrushkevych, head of Tsyurupinsk District State Administration; Yegor Ustinov, head of Skadovsk District Administration; Colonel Maxim Samilenko, commander of military unit A-1604 of the Ministry of Defense.

By the results of discussion, taking into account all suggestions and comments, was prepared and issued an order by the Head of the Regional Administration and in due course will be brought to the direct perpetrators.
